Your Credit Score and Credit History

For those of you reading this, are you aware of your credit score?  When was the last time you checked it?  And if you know your credit score, does it rate well?  For your age, do you think you have enough debt and credit history to establish a strong score?

I'd love to hear the responses of my readers so that I can cater my content to you.

  1. Mine is average because I only have five years of credit history, but I've never missed payments.

  6. I used to be 760. Now, I have no idea what my score is because money has been tight and I've been constantly late on payments for this or that for the last 6 months or so. My car is almost paid off so once that's done I plan on using the extra money for each month to climb out of my hole.

  8. My thesis was on the problems with the entire FICO system and how it is used in America. I'm not too worried about my credit score as I'll be moving to a different country in less than 2 years. That means my credit score starts all over anyway.

  17. Mine is probably average, I'm young and the few debts I've accrued I've paid off normally. I kind of understand the idea that using more credit and paying it off can increase your score, but I typically don't jump through that hoop unless I have to.
